Currently in post-production, E Is For: is a space-bending independent sci-fi feature film. The project relied heavily on a hybridized score and sound design to establish the contrast and intersection of several timelines in this multiverse narrative about connection and self-becoming.
Each timeline required a different timbral and tonal language in the score, establishing the emotional and psychological life of the character in focus. As the timelines progressively interact, it was essential for the score and sound design to guide the viewer through these intersections, functioning as cues for the surreal events taking place and grounding the audience in the reality of the story - and how its conventions bend and break.
